Italian Web Translation Analyst
Long-term contract (1+ year)
Dallas, Texas

IMMEDIATE opening for a Bi-lingual Translation Analyst to join our team in Dallas. This individual will serve as the Inbound Communication person. Will be responsible to look after our email inbox and assist with our workflow management system (ticketing software), and the translation/localization activities. Will be working in a multi-lingual environment and responsible to review content and translation responses.

Responsibilities:
o Work with Product teams to test features and services for local markets and uphold established quality standards
o Conduct Linguistic QA tasks, monitor and resolve linguistic bugs as necessary
o Represent linguistic and cultural nuances in cross-functional meetings
o Collaborate and review translations from external vendors
o Coordinate with external language service providers (LSPs) the successful execution of localization projects, resolution of potential issues and strategic allocation of resources.
o Categorize translation errors and inconsistencies and coordinate translation improvement measures with LSP teams
o Develop and maintain linguistic style guides, translation memories, and terminology databases
o Collaborate with marketing project managers to plan localization projects by providing guidance with content development and ensuring success throughout every phase of localization lifecycle
o Coordinate and maintain site standards for user facing support communications between the Localization team and the rest of the organization
o Optimize targeted digital assests for search engine visibility and "crawlability," indexation and ranking (SEO)
o Schedule and manage testing of localized digital assets.
o Identify external links through competitive site analysis and work with SEO resources to build link popularity.
o Find, diagnose and address website problems, including broken links, typographical errors and formatting inconsistencies
o Help define, document, and communicate content processes, timelines, and style guidelines.

Required Skills:
o Possess excellent organizational and highly developed communication skills, with the ability to speak, write, and read fluent English and German
o 4-year college degree in a related field - Translations/Localization, Business, or Linguistics
o 2 years' experience of:
o localization project management
o Translations/Localization
o Web content management
o Keyword research & search engine tools
o MS applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
o Ability to translate a minimum of 2,000 words a day
o Strong team player in a multi-language/multi-cultural environment
o Understands the differences in language between source markets (i.e. Canada vs. France vs. Belgium) and is able to adapt translated text accordingly
o Exceptional critical thinking and both quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
o Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision making skills to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and to provide recommendations for optimal solutions.
o Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions even among seemingly unrelated events.
o Excellent written and verbal communication and comprehension skills, including the ability to clearly explain complex analytical topics to a wide audience who may or may not be familiar with analytics or the subject matter.
o Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
o Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple, concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilities.
o Ability to work in a collaborative work style, thrives on accountability, and be an excellent manager of resources in writing for the web.
o Strong interpersonal skills as this position will interact with multiple stakeholders, including content contributors, brand management hotel property management, architects, designers, writers, web developers and company leadership.
o Excellent organizational and time management skills, keen attention to detail with the ability to work independently with managing multiple, concurrent projects and resources in a deadline-driven environment.
o Must have a desire to take on additional responsibilities.
o Ability to excel in a deadline-sensitive and fast-paced environment.
o Flexibility and adaptability to change.
o Solid understanding of current industry and techniques for digital content management.
o Has the ability and commitment to learn about and communicate effectively the key messages about the company firm and the hospitality industry.
o Nice to have would be previous experience of:
o International experience or experience living in Europe/Asia a plus
o Previous interpreting experience and/or interpretation process management experience Working with a leading web or enterprise CMS
o HTML, CSS and code structure
o Social Media Tools & Apps
o SEO Writing and SEM
o Excellent working knowledge of industry leading translations/localization technology (i.e. SDL Trados, Translations.com GlobalLink Suite of Products)
o Vendor liaison experience
o Advance Excel skills (formula, pivot tables, macros, lookup tables, etc.)
o Previous applicable e-commerce experience
