Sr. Mobile Product Manager
Contract with potential for hire (6-9 Months)

We have an exciting new job opening for a Mobile Product Manager. The Mobile Product Manager will be responsible for planning, prioritizing and overseeing the product management of new capabilities for both iOS and Android mobile applications. This is a high-level and visible role that will be responsible for creating roadmaps for the Mobile web and app services. Extensive collaboration is required with product and business stakeholders as well as the development team. Seeking someone that is interested in gaining experience with an enterprise size company that is largest in their industry. The ideal candidate will be a technology-driven product manager who understands the current mobile trends and what's going on with both mobile web and mobile app. The majority of the work will be mobile app focused on new capabilities.
o This role will be 70% focused on the delivery side and 30% strategy focused.
o This role will work as a Technical Product Owner and Manager with a heavy SDLC focus. This individual will lead the scrum team and oversee the strategy and backlog.
o The Manager will meet regularly with stakeholders to identify and define feature and functional product priorities for the new releases.
o Responsible for gathering and documenting product requirements for development teams including user stories, functional specifications, and wire framing.
o Keep stakeholders regularly informed of product roadmap and development releases. This person will be responsible for the prioritization, soundness, communication, and acceptance of the final build for release.
o Work closely with UAT teams to ensure the user experiences are fully thought out and cover all scenarios a user might encounter.
o Work with PMO team to ensure IT/partners understand and can deliver on specified requirements.
o Serve as liaison between Product Managers and Engineering partners.
o The Manager will be expected to have full knowledge of the status of a release cycle, key upcoming dates, checkpoints and milestones at any given time and will ensure schedules and exceptions are communicated to stakeholders in a timely fashion.
o The Manager must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable and confident in leading conference calls and meetings with peers, stakeholders, and other team members and leadership. Participant on the go/no go calls for all releases providing valuable input and will also be responsible for providing weekly status reports detailing the progress of each release.
o A passion and knowledge of mobile applications and websites is required.
o 5 years of related product experience with mobile apps, both iOS and Android.
o 1-3 years' experience working in the digital product management space.
o Agile experience - MUST
o Experience writing stories from an Agile perspective - MUST
o Some experience working as a Product Owner
o Experience working with JIRA. ie. Opening a ticket, scrum backlog, etc.
o Technical experience and strong understanding of SDLC
o Must have experience working with entire product lifecycle
o Experience working with and collaborating with development team, writing query requirements and working with the design teams. Basic coding experience is a HUGE plus! (Java or HTML)
o Must understand APIs and have experience working with them.
o Familiar with Gets and Calls for APIs and the kind of information that can come back.
o Experience with GraphQL - HUGE PLUS!
o Knowledge and experience with differences between iOS and Android.
o Strong knowledge and understanding of mobile web, iOS and Android devices/operating systems.
o Customer journey mapping experience - HUGE PLUS!
