Sr. Application Project Manager
Location: Memphis, TN
Duration: 1+ year contract

IMMEDIATE new job opening for a Sr. Application Project Manager to join our team and work on-site at our client's corporate office based out of Memphis, TN. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading end-to-end projects including managing associated milestones, tasks, schedule, and action items. The PM will also work as a functional lead over the applications and corporate systems. Candidates must have proven track record in project management and proactively work to set customer expectation to assure a smooth project including project timeline, requirements, and critical dependencies. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership qualities with demonstrated history of working with a range of small to large projects requiring resource coordination and task tracking as well as building high performing teams where members are engaged with the work they are undertaking.

Requirements:
o 6-8 years of previous business systems analysis, application management, and/or project management experience
o Technical acumen and the ability to quickly gain proficiency with new tools and applications
o Understanding of software development lifecycles and implementation methodologies
o Work with end users to define project requirements, create functional designs and manage the work through the development lifecycle.
o Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and initiatives with minimal supervision or oversight required
o Ability to research and document 'as is' state of application.
o Detailed evaluation and documentation of data requirements and functional requirements.
o Ability to create and execute simple to medium Microsoft SQL database queries.
o Ability to interview clients to ascertain and document functional requirements.
o Ability to create use cases and test cases to support the development life cycle process
o Ability to create project plan and manage to milestones in the plan.
o Ability to work directly with technical lead to interpret functional requirements into necessary technical requirements necessary for delivered product.
o Ability to work independently, manage and deliver quality work product on time as per plan.
o Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills.
o Ability to follow through on issue resolution and escalate as needed.
o Experience with HPLM/JIRA or other defect management system
o Strong communication & presentation skills; written and verbal
o Collaborative and customer centric mindset, able to work well with others in teams and projects

Preferred Skills:
o Education: BA/BS Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science
o Experience with hotel systems back office accounting
o Experience with hotel property management and/or food and beverage Point of Sale system
