AWS Cloud Project Manager
12 month contract

IMMEDIATE new job opening for an AWS Cloud Project Manager to join our team and work on-site at our client's global HQ's based out of Memphis, TN. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end project and associated milestones, tasks, schedule, and action items in support of Platform Engineering Cloud Team projects. The PM will work closely with Platform Engineering Cloud leadership, Cloud Delivery team, and cross-functionally across other technical teams to deliver quality products and execute projects. Candidate must have proven track record in project management and proactively work to set customer expectation to assure a smooth project including project timeline, requirements, and critical dependencies. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership qualities with demonstrated history of working with a range of small to large projects requiring resource coordination and task tracking as well as building high performing teams where members are engaged with the work they are undertaking.

o Responsible for end-to-end project management, demonstrating ownership of the entire process from beginning to end: Initiation through Closure.
o Produce timely and high quality work products that may include scope, project plans, project schedules, requirements specifications, meeting minutes, test plans, test scripts, and other deliverables.
o Document, organize, and update tasks and documentation using Jira and Confluence.
o Prepare project status reports weekly and as requested.
o Create and deliver updates to senior management on project goals and plans, progress reporting, updates, milestones, metrics, risks, and issues.
o Organize and facilitate project planning, status meetings, reviews, requirements and release planning, and other project-related meetings.
o Become deeply immersed and knowledgeable about core systems, technologies, and technical platforms.
o Support the delivery of projects using Agile methodology, values, and practice.

Required Skills:
o 5 to 7 years of relevant project management experience.
o Project management concepts such as WBS, dependencies, milestones, and issue / risk tracking.
o Defined, coordinated, and led Agile-based projects.
o Strong knowledge of Jira and Confluence tools.
o Self-starter demonstrating solid judgment - understands when to seek guidance but has strong ability to think and act independently under limited oversight and direction.
o Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint and Visio.
o Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects, activities, and tasks under time constraints.
o Exceptional communication, teamwork, and influencing skills that foster a collaborative and continuous-improvement environment.
