AWS JavaScript Engineer
1 year + contract

Exciting new job opening for a JavaScript Engineer to join our team and work on-site at our client's global HQ's in Memphis, TN. This role will be a part of a new and exciting self-managing Product Team, focused on coding the technology solution needed to create, maintain, fix, or enhance products for structured interfaces like voice and text. The Software Engineer must have excellent technical skills which allow them to adequately interpret what is needed, ask for clarity when needed, implement the changes, and provide evidence of testing. The candidate will provide architectural and technical guidance for Amazon AWS environments, tools, and solutions. Develop/maintain architectural blueprint schematic, feature specifications, and detailed technical design schematics. Develop and deploy features that will connect core/legacy data with new services both internal and external interfaces.

Product Development
o AWS and cloud deployment of applications using Lambdas and other Amazon tools.
o Expert knowledge of API's (REST & Graph QL) demonstrable experience in developing using managed code and services development.
o Drive for clarity with ambiguous or unknown requirements.
o Follows product design to perform development tasks to build /deliver the product increment
o Follows requirements when developing a solution that helps to meet the 'definition of done' for a particular minor enhancement or break/fix ticket
o Codes/configures quality technology solutions that require limited rework and meet business / end-user needs
o Demonstrable understanding of Virtual Assistants (Google Home, Amazon Echo, etc.) ecosystems including build, test, deployment.
o Technologies of AWS, EC2, API Gateways, NLP, JavaScript, React, React Native, Jira, Bitbucket/Stash, Bamboo, Confluence, Salesforce Live Agent, RocketChat, Twilio, SMS, Docker/Containers

Lifecycle Responsibilities
o Develops and integrates software as their primary responsibility
o Supports Team scrum/agile ceremonies, such as helping to maintain the ticket queue, and participating in backlog refinement and release planning
o Supports the estimation of backlog items, Assists with unit test, as required
o Integrates code with CI/CD workflows

Product Quality and Implementation
o Delivers maintenance and enhancements for existing software or packaged applications
o Adheres to coding standards / procedures and participates in code reviews
o Ensures that all solution development is aligned to architectural standards throughout the development process

Assists Tester in designing and ensuring overall integrity of the test plan

Required Skills:
o BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
o 2-5 years of experience as a JavaScript Developer or Engineer
o 3+ years' experience with AWS tools and ecosystems
o API Experience
o Familiar with GraphQL
