We have an exciting new job opening for a Business Analyst within the Tax Services space to join our client's IT team. This is a great opportunity to join a global company that is currently going through a huge software expansion. The Business Analyst will liaise with solution stakeholders to gather information and analyze solution performance in order to capture business requirements and prioritize functionality enhancements, and contribute to future releases. The Business Analyst will interview solution users, solution owners, designers and developers and monitor industry best practices to collect, document and prioritize business requirements for communication to the solution team to drive product enhancements.

*This role can be located anywhere in the U.S.

o Establish relationships with solution stakeholders including external clients, internal clients (practice areas), and industry subject matter experts.
o Interview stakeholders to understand the transaction tax business process and how the solution integrates with and enables the business process.
o Document detailed transaction tax business processes.
o Prepare business requirements based on stakeholder interviews to address solution gaps; prioritize requirements and discuss with solution owners.
o Establish relationships with product owners to understand system functionality and future design roadmap.
o Demonstrate strong interpersonal and consultative skills, and the ability to lead and facilitate business process discussions.
o Demonstrate experience acquiring familiarity with complex technologies relatively quickly.

o 2-4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst providing tax automation services.
o Extensive experience modeling business processes and producing process documentation in a software consulting or information technology role.
o Knowledge of transaction taxes in the United States and Canada.
o Experience with basic SQL queries, Alteryx, Access, and Excel.
o Financial services/Tax services industry experience.
o Excellent written and verbal communication
o Bachelor's or Master's degree from a four-year college; Degrees in Accounting, Tax, or Information Technology are desirable.
o Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Project, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
o Be detail-oriented and capable of producing deliverables with a high level of accuracy.
o Familiarity with software development lifecycles is preferred (SDLC, Agile, etc.).
