Business Analytics Analyst

Fulltime

Dallas, Atlanta and Chicago preferred, with remote option

 

We have an exciting new job opening as a Business Analytics Analyst. This opportunity will work with internal and external customers to identify, support, and accelerate transformative technology solutions that tackle the most pressing challenges and opportunities in the tax domain. Our team members operate with a high level of independence and with low administrative burden so that we can rapidly explore the best ideas from our colleagues and customers. The Innovation team includes cross-functional expertise across technology, data strategy, the tax industry, and client service. Being a part of the Innovation team requires a creative problem solver who is passionate about client service and leveraging technology. Innovation projects are focused on matching problems and opportunities to technology solutions that generate operational efficiencies, create competitive advantage for our service delivery teams, and accelerate company growth.  This is an opportunity to work in a highly matrixed organization that will be a part of many different areas within the projects.  You will work closely with multiple teams, specifically data scientists, sales, and service delivery professionals.   

This role will ideally be based out of Dallas, Atlanta or Chicago and require 1 day/week on-site.  100% remote is available for the right candidate.

 

Responsibilities:

o Coordinates resources, timelines, and budgets for the portfolio of innovation ideas and projects to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy and support the ideation lifecycle

o Manages project issues and risks and escalates to the appropriate stakeholders with clarity, timeliness, and professionalism

o Establishes and maintains strong relationships across the organization for project execution and delivery

o Leads the build, developing, testing, and monitoring of technology solutions that are part of the Innovation portfolio

o Demonstrates ability to document and translate requirements while making connections to business processes, potential risk, and technology solutions

o Interacts regularly with customers to understand problem areas of the modern tax department

o Works with business units to identify trusted customers for participation in the Innovation lifecycle to generate ideas and solicit feedback on the most promising ideas

o Identifies new market spaces where technology and data strategy can benefit customers or service delivery methods including analysis of trends and market disruptions and searching for emerging technology and new market opportunities

o Develops and cultivates meaningful relationships with internal/external clients resulting in client loyalty, satisfaction and continued growth and expansion.

o Runs a high-yield, efficient mode of operation ensuring profitability of work and stewardship of company resources. Plans and prioritizes to ensure successful delivery of high-quality business results on time, every time.  

 

Requirements:

o 3+ years of management and people development experience

o Experience managing Analytics and/or tax projects or products

o Big 4 Tax Consulting experience or equivalent – highly preferred

o Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, CRM, and internet navigation/research

o Fluency in at least 1 programming and/or scripting language (Python, Java, C++, etc.) highly desired

o Experience with 1 or more database platform is also a strong indicator for success in the role

o Experience with 1 or more Robotics Process Automation platforms

o Experience with 1 or more data analytics and/or visualization platforms

o Experience working with Data Scientists

o Experience with Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics Process Automation platforms – plus

o Experience managing a project/product utilizing any of the following:  Altirius, Tableau, SQL Server, Azure, AWS

o Functional knowledge of finances packages such as HRIS, CRM, and ERP systems is strongly preferred.

o Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Analytics, business management, tax, computer science, information systems (MIS) and equivalent STEM degrees or equivalent experience

o CSM and/or PMP – preferred

o AWS Cloud Practitioner – nice to have
