IMMEDAITE NEW job opening for a Digital Accessibility Analyst to join our team and work on-site at our client's global HQ's in either Mclean, VA or Dallas, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an agile environment and build accessibility into SDLC. You will be responsible for identifying accessibility isu7ses and suggesting remediation solutions. You will also be conducting full accessibility audits for web sites and mobile applications. This role requires a strong knowledge of WCAG 2.0 Level AA. This role is within the Accessibility team and will provide accessibility support to several agile product teams. This role will require reviewing user stories to ensure accessibility considerations are incorporated; reviewing designs and wireframes; offering remediation solutions; validating and prioritizing accessibility defects; and delivering adhoc accessibility training to their assigned agile teams.

Responsibilities:
o Conducting full accessibility audits for web sites and mobile applications.
o Contributing to the development and maintenance of accessibility guidelines, processes, checklists, how-to documents and web-based resources.

o Effectively advocating for users with disabilities

o Organizing internal awareness building activities

o Working with an enterprise compliance monitoring tool to track and report on accessibility defects.

o Delivering accessibility training and webinars.

Required Skills:
o 5+ years hands on experience auditing websites and web applications for accessibility to include code reviews and manual and automated techniques to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.0 Level AA
o Intermediate level experience with at least 1 screen reader for both mobile and desktop.
o Intermediate level experience with at least 1 other assistive technology product (a second screen reader product is acceptable)
o Familiarity with ADA and international accessibility laws
o Understand accessibility and usability principles that impact users with disabilities
o Hands on experience with assistive technology devices including screen readers, screen magnification, alternative keyboard inputs, etc.
o Hands on experience conducting accessibility audits for web and mobile.
o Ability to provide technical assistance and remediation guidance to designers, developers and QA.
o Must possess strong working knowledge of WCAG 2.0 Level AA (required) and WCAG 2.1 (nice to have)
o Strong working knowledge of WAI-ARIA and W3C standards-compliant HTML and CSS
o Familiarity with ADA and international accessibility laws
o Understanding of accessibility and usability principles that impact users with disabilities
o Hands on experience with assistive technology devices including screen readers, screen magnification, alternative keyboard inputs, etc.
o Hands on experience conducting accessibility audits for web and mobile.
o Ability to provide technical assistance and remediation guidance to designers, developers and QA.
o Experience with an automated accessibility testing tool such as Comply, Attest, aXe, or Tenon.
o Basic knowledge of JavaScript; React JS a plus
o Knowledge of accepted accessibility interaction patterns and best practices
o Knowledge of mobile accessibility on various platforms including Android and IOS
o Background in user interface design, user experience, or web design a plus.
o Experience with web development a plus
o Experience with Agile methodologies and JIRA

Preferred Skills:
o IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC)
o Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) Certification
