Financial Analyst
5 Month Consulting Engagement
Location: McLean, VA

We have an immediate job opening for a Financial Analyst to join our team and work on-site at our client's global headquarters in McLean, Virginia. Seeking someone that is well-versed in preparing and analyzing monthly financial reports and identifying key trends from them. Financial Analysis:
o Prepare and analyze monthly financial performance reports and identify key trends that may impact future spending levels.
o Prepare variance reports and presentations.
o Assist in reporting monthly financials to business partners.
o Develop financial models using Excel, Hyperion and large datasets to identify areas of financial risk and opportunity.
o Identify opportunities to ensure brands meet annual expense budget.
o Assist with developing and maintaining monthly forecasts for departments.
o Utilize Apptio, Hyperion, Essbase, and Excel to maintain and build forecast models for accurate and rapid financial forecasts.
o Assist with month-end close for departments supporting, including review of prepaids, accruals and any necessary reclasses.
o Work direcctly with Accounting to research and correct any issues discovered during close.

Required Skills:
o 3-5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst
o Proficiency with Oracle Smart View, Hyperion Essbase, Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
o Demonstrated ability to interact at all levels of management and effectively present to senior and executive Leadership.
o Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in writing.
o Ability to analyze financial, statistical, and operational data.
o Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
o Strong problem solving skills, including ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate.
o Ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems.
o Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple, concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilities.
o Ability to collaborate with others and act in an objective manner in order to effectively solve problems and stay on track towards accomplishing goals
