Lead Network Security Engineer
1 year + contract engagement
Dallas, Memphis, Remote option

IMMEDIATE new job opening for a Lead Network Security Engineer to join our team and work for our global client's Global Network Engineering Team. The Lead Network Security Engineer will be responsible for software development enabling network security task automation, fast response, and maximizing investments in existing technology solutions through API integration.
The Lead Developer is directly responsible for continuing development of Global Network Engineering Platform. The position will play a meaningful role in developing new tool integrations, and finding new ways to enhance network security engineering orchestration capabilities. This position will also be responsible for developing partnerships with other groups and solution owners to enable faster deployments for network security engineering infrastructure related projects.
Responsibilities:
o Develop software enabling measurement of configurations, performance, anomaly detection, and standards conformance
o Development of tool integrations through product APIs
o Work with architecture groups to develop network engineering automation systems
o Work to integrate, and develop, an Agile software development capability for network engineering automation
o Create and maintain documentation in the form of architectural diagrams including system level services and network flow documentation
o Establish secure coding practices including ongoing maintenance of secure code repositories, code error checking, and processes including static and dynamic code analysis
o Work with other members of the architecture team to review and ensure automation systems are deployed securely
o Create and monitor resilient tasks that involve multiple moving parts
Required Skills:
o 6 years+ experience in Node.js, Go, Perl, and Python programming.
o 4 years network engineering experience
o 2 years network security/system development
o 6 years in data networking.
o 3 years with firewalls.
o Experience in using XML & REST API's
o Ability to simplify and explain technical concepts to others.
o Methodical and Analytical.
o Understanding of OSI model Layer 2 and above.
o Experience in process automation
o Experience in configuration of secure configuration of network devices
o Experience with data model creation
o Experience with Network Analytic Tools. IE: DataDog, Splunk, ElasticSearch
o Experience with report and dashboard creation
o Experience with software integration of Single Sign On
o Experience with Cisco Defense Orchestrator and Cisco Stealthwatch
o Experience with task orchestration and configuration management (Salt/Ansible)
o Experience with development of cloud native serverless architecture. IE: AWS
o Understanding of Systems development lifecycle
o Familiarity with Ansible, Confluence, Jira, NAT, and network orchestration is a plus
o PCPP-32-1 - Certified Professional in Python Programming 1 or other relevant network certification.
o Any Licenses or Certificates Required: CCNP, PCNSE or other relevant certification.
o Bachelor's Degree
