Native Mobile Accessibility Analyst

EXCITING NEW JOB OPENING for a Mobile Accessibility Analyst to join our team and work on-site at on of our client's 3 major US HQs. . This individual will work with agile product teams to build accessibility into all areas of the SDLC (research, design, development, testing). This is an exciting opportunity to work in an agile environment and build accessibility into SDLC. You will be responsible for identifying accessibility isusses and suggesting remediation solutions. You will also be conducting full accessibility audits for web sites and mobile applications. This role requires a strong knowledge of WCAG 2.0 Level AA. This role is within the Accessibility team and will provide accessibility support to several agile product teams. This role will require reviewing user stories to ensure accessibility considerations are incorporated; reviewing designs and wireframes; offering remediation solutions; validating and prioritizing accessibility defects; and delivering adhoc accessibility training to their assigned agile teams.

o Identifying accessibility issues and suggesting remediation solutions.
o Conducting full accessibility audits on custom mobile applications.
o Contributing to the development and maintenance of accessibility guidelines, processes, checklists, how-to documents and web-based resources.
o Effectively advocating for users with disabilities
o Organizing internal awareness building activities
o Developing and delivering accessibility training and webinars.

Required Skills
o 3-5 years hands on experience testing/auditing or developing iOS/Android native apps for accessibility.
o 3-5 years hands on experience testing/auditing websites for accessibility
o Intermediate level experience with at least 1 screen reader
o Intermediate level experience with at least 1 other assistive technology product (a second screen reader product is acceptable)
o Understanding of the differences between screen readers.
o Must possess strong working knowledge of WCAG 2.0 Level AA (required) and WCAG 2.1 (desired).
o Must possess hands-on experience with native app accessibility.
o Familiarity with xcode, Accessibility Inspector, and Accessibility Scanner preferred.
o Familiarity with the W3C Mobile Accessibility Task Force recommendations.
o Familiarity with ADA and international accessibility laws.
o Understand accessibility and usability principles that impact users with disabilities.
o Hands on experience with assistive technology devices including screen readers, screen magnification, alternative keyboard inputs, etc.
o Hands on experience with accessibilities features of iOS and Android.
o Hands on experience conducting accessibility audits for web and native.
o Ability to provide technical solutions and remediation guidance to designers, developers and QA.
o Familiarity with WAI-ARIA and how to implement accessibly.
o Knowledge of W3C standards-compliant HTML and CSS.
o Basic knowledge of JavaScript (React JS/React Native a plus).
o Knowledge of accepted accessibility interaction patterns and best practices for native applications.
o Background in native app develop, web development, user interface design, user experience a plus.
o Experience with agile methodologies and JIRA.

Nice to Have:
o IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC).
o Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) Certification.
