Field Service Desk Tech
Wooster, Ohio

Currently looking for a junior to mid-level (Field) Service desk technician. Will support local branch office and corporate office as well as manufacturing plants, so there will be some minimal travel. Candidate should also be willing to travel occasionally (1 -3 trips per year) to support other locations and train at corporate.

Day to day responsibilities include: applications support, basic networking, testing and troubleshooting, and configuration of end point devices throughout the facilities. This person will also assist other team members (located at other facilities around the country) in the process of troubleshooting system wide issues, along with execution of companywide technical initiatives. Prior involvement with backup and recovery efforts, provisioning of new technologies, and progress reported is a plus.

o Proactively monitor network infrastructure and respond rapidly to issues
o Serve as primary contact for server, pc, and network support
o Configure and deploy workstations, servers, and network hardware
o Work as Help Desk/Desktop support staff for coordination of issues and onsite support/projects
o Update issues with progress and resolution within ticketing system
o Create and update technical and end user training materials
o Support our end users with the highest of customer service expectations
o Proved record of supporting and provisioning technical solutions
o Self-motivated, energetic, organized, and customer service focused
o Possess a drive to learn and teach
o Possess effective troubleshooting skills, being methodical and detail oriented
o Degreed professional or equivalent demonstrable experience with supporting and troubleshooting Windows in AD environments using published and learned best-practices
o Possess desktop troubleshooting skills and techniques to solve complex issues (Printing, applications, networking)
o Technical knowledge of cabling installation and troubleshooting
o Current Microsoft certifications are preferred
o Candidate must be able to carry out physical requirements of the job including the racking (lifting) of equipment, along with the traversal of ladder and elevated environments.
