Wireless Deployment Technician
Long-term contract

IMMEDIATE new job opening for a Wireless Deployment Technician to join our team and work on-site at our client's global HQ's based in Memphis, TN. This is a long-term 1 year+ engagement and will work closely with the Director of Customer Facing Technologies on governance and communications tasks related to the internet program, authentication platform, vendor certification, and brand/technical standards.  This individual will have a very comprehensive understanding of Wi-Fi with more focus on complex wireless deployments. They will be involved in daily¬†discussions and acting as the advocate to problems, as well as solving issues with design etc.

This is a hybrid role that will be working with the business and the engineering team and must have experience with both. The right individual for this role with have strong technical knowledge of high-speed connections and basic networking experience with voice and data. This role will act as an account manager over Wi-Fi systems and will advise vendors based on written standards. This role will also interface with providers and internal employees, QA, etc. Will manage global vendors; there are a total of 14. Will also be responsible to assist vendors with deployments and support them during daily fires.

Role Responsibilities:
o Primary escalation point to/from the vendor for all issue resolution and software/configuration matters relating to the internet authentication platform
o Responsible for ensuring that internet vendors are implementing the internet platform in accordance with all defined technical and brand standards. Recommends potential program violations for approval, prepares notification reports, monitors remediation, and tracks frequency.
o Responsible for driving collaboration with internal and external teams to identify guest internet issues, document resolution processes, and implement procedural changes to reduce future issues. Manages communication of issues and resolutions to team members, external partners, and executive stakeholders
o Responsible for managing internet remediation items identified during vendor certification reviews, infrastructure audits, and while under suspension status, ensuring timely completion by the vendors. Includes maintaining an ongoing status report with clearly defined progress updates and completion dates.

Required Skills:
o 3-5 years' experience as a WiFi Technician or Wireless Deployment Technician
o Must have experience and knowledge of switches, routers, and access points
o Must understand circuits and how they work
o Must have strong knowledge of Wi-Fi
o Experience working with high-level stakeholders and communicating expectations, discussing budget etc.
